Job Description
Virtusa is hiring a Data Engineer / Analytics Developer in Chicago, IL (onsite) to build and automate data pipelines, deliver analytics dashboards, and support enterprise SaaS integrations.
- Pipeline Development & Automation: design, build, and deploy automated data pipelines to ingest, transform, and clean complex datasets
- Python + SQL Optimization: use Python and SQL to reduce manual processing and improve system performance
- Full-Stack Development: develop and maintain web applications and interfaces, including integration of AI models, using modern frameworks such as Next.js and Prisma
- Enterprise SaaS Integration: execute technical implementations for enterprise SaaS projects and ensure seamless data flow across platforms
- Visualization Engineering: develop and maintain high-performance dashboards in Tableau and Power BI with accurate operational reporting and real-time performance tracking
- End-to-End Delivery & Support: manage the technical lifecycle including user-acceptance testing, system cutover, production deployment, and post-launch troubleshooting (Hypercare)
Requirements
- Python for scripting and data manipulation
- SQL skills for advanced queries, stored procedures, and data modeling
- Next.js experience and Prisma for full-stack development
- LLM integration experience, such as with Google Gemini
- Advanced Excel capability (Power Query/Pivot) and experience building automated ETL workflows
- Tableau and Power BI proficiency for dashboard development and visual analytics
