Job Description
Amazon's International Stores Finance Central Engineering team is seeking a data-minded engineer to design and build intricate ETL pipelines and analytics solutions powering data-driven decisions across Amazon’s rapidly expanding international business. This Seattle-based onsite role focuses on steering the technical design, development, and deployment of a new global finance data system, while mentoring junior engineers and establishing coding standards to ensure deliverables meet high quality expectations. The position carries a salary range of USD 132,100 to 178,800 per year.
Responsibilities
- 5+ years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience leading and influencing the data strategy of your team or organization
- Experience in SQL
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar major
- Hands-on experience leading delivery and operations of distributed, high quality systems
- Fundamentals in data structures, algorithm, problem solving, and complexity analysis

Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience working on and delivering end to end projects independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with non-relational databases / data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
