Responsibilities
- Design and support a platform that provides secure access to large datasets
- Architect, develop, and maintain end-to-end scalable data pipelines and infrastructure
- Define the data strategy and technical roadmap for storage and pipeline design
- Collaborate with other tech teams to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources using SQL, scripting, and AWS big data technologies
- Create and implement complex ETL pipelines and business intelligence solutions
- Partner with business owners, developers, and BI engineers to explore new data sources and deliver data
- Stay current with advances in big data technologies and run pilots to design scalable data architectures on AWS
- Empower the team for self-service by equipping members with skills to handle complex tasks independently
- Foster a culture of self-reliance by ensuring the team can troubleshoot data issues and maintain high productivity
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Proficiency in SQL
