Data Engineer, SPTC
Job Description
Data Engineer to design, implement, and maintain data sources and pipelines that empower decision making and foster trust with Amazon's sellers.
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines and infrastructure to support analytics, reporting, and business operations.
- Establish and enforce data modeling standards, data lineage, and governance programs to ensure consistency, reusability, and quality across platforms.
- Oversee design and code reviews and promote engineering best practices across data development, documentation, testing, and monitoring.
- Develop data platforms and frameworks that support both batch and real time processing for flexible, scalable analytics.
- Deliver secure and compliant data solutions that meet internal and external regulatory requirements such as GDPR.
- Assess and adopt emerging technologies to improve data platform performance, cost efficiency, and scalability.
- Partner with cross functional teams to capture data requirements, define solution architectures, and align with business objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team hiring and onboarding processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of data engineering experience.
- At least 1 year of building and operating large scale BI data structures using ETL/ELT processes.
- At least 1 year of building and operating large scale BI data structures using OLAP technologies.
- At least 1 year of building and operating large scale BI data structures using data modeling.
- At least 1 year of building and operating large scale BI data structures using SQL.
- At least 1 year of building and operating large scale BI data structures using Oracle.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and constructing ETL pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications
