Job Description
Data Scientist role in Huntsville, AL (onsite) at Guidehouse requiring an active Secret clearance and a Bachelor's degree.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply data science techniques and methodologies; prepare data, descriptive tables, and other analytical products.
- Collect, inventory, and transform diverse data sources for analysis, performance indicators, and modeling.
- Leverage technical expertise to design and build data pipelines and data lakes for model consumption, including developing associated algorithms.
- Create proofs of concept and analytic solutions to address business challenges.
- Assist in requirements gathering for dashboards, reports, and other analytical deliverables.
- Manage large datasets, including data integration, wrangling, and querying large databases.
Requirements
- Active and maintained SECRET clearance (federal or DoD).
- Bachelor's degree
- Three or more years of experience in data analytics and/or data science.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and proactive initiative.
- Experience applying data science practices and methodologies.
- Experience with statistical and data science techniques, including data integration, data wrangling, querying large databases, and statistical modeling (supervised, unsupervised, clustering).
- Experience developing data visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations.
