Overview
In this Senior Data Engineer position, you will design, scale, and optimize data pipelines on AWS with Databricks, contributing to a modern cloud data architecture that supports data lake and lakehouse patterns. You will partner with analytics, business, and technical teams to drive data-driven outcomes and help shape architectural direction within a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines on the AWS platform
- Collaborate with Databricks to support data processing and analytics use cases
- Contribute to the development of a modern data architecture (data lake and lakehouse concepts)
- Integrate data from multiple sources and support new data initiatives
- Improve performance, reliability, and efficiency of data workflows
- Partner with analytics, business, and technical teams to deliver robust data solutions
- Help establish best practices for data engineering, deployment, and data quality
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
- Strong experience with AWS data services (S3, Redshift, Athena, or similar)
- Experience working with Databricks
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and data models
- Understanding of modern data architecture concepts (data lakes, lakehouse, etc.)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
