Job Description

Noblis ESI is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support Intelligence Community missions from an on-site location in Chantilly, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Work with classified-source data and statistical software packages to uncover patterns and relationships in large datasets
  • Use cloud services and AI/ML technologies to support data-driven discovery
  • Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights
  • Explore, model, and refine data to identify patterns and features of interest
  • Design, build, and train machine learning models
  • Collect, curate, and process large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
  • Research, implement, and document analytical approaches and outcomes
  • Use high-performance computing resources, including GPU clusters and cloud-based platforms
  • Apply data visualization to communicate results to stakeholders (e.g., Tableau)
  • Build and manage model lifecycle
  • Contribute to mission capabilities including knowledge management, search optimization, and AI LLM knowledge bases

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
  • US Citizenship required
  • Education and experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience, OR
    • Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, OR
    • High school diploma/GED with 9 years of experience
  • Proficiency with data science tools and technologies: Python, SQL/PostgreSQL, Spark, and Git (NiFi is a plus)
  • Experience analyzing data in Python
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
  • Experience or knowledge with machine learning, statistical modeling, and/or time-series forecasting
  • Experience or knowledge working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure
  • Experience or knowledge working with open-source and classified datasets
  • Demonstrated ability to clean, manage, and optimize large-scale datasets
  • Fundamental understanding of AI techniques and ability to match techniques to problems
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively in verbal and written form for a variety of audiences

Compensation

  • Salary range: USD $90,700.00 - USD $141,775.00 /Yr
