Noblis ESI is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support Intelligence Community missions from an on-site location in Chantilly, VA.

Work with classified-source data and statistical software packages to uncover patterns and relationships in large datasets
Use cloud services and AI/ML technologies to support data-driven discovery
Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights
Explore, model, and refine data to identify patterns and features of interest
Design, build, and train machine learning models
Collect, curate, and process large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
Research, implement, and document analytical approaches and outcomes
Use high-performance computing resources, including GPU clusters and cloud-based platforms
Apply data visualization to communicate results to stakeholders (e.g., Tableau)
Build and manage model lifecycle
Contribute to mission capabilities including knowledge management, search optimization, and AI LLM knowledge bases

Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
US Citizenship required
Education and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience, OR
- Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, OR
- High school diploma/GED with 9 years of experience
Proficiency with data science tools and technologies: Python, SQL/PostgreSQL, Spark, and Git (NiFi is a plus)
Experience analyzing data in Python
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau)
Experience or knowledge with machine learning, statistical modeling, and/or time-series forecasting
Experience or knowledge working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure
Experience or knowledge working with open-source and classified datasets
Demonstrated ability to clean, manage, and optimize large-scale datasets
Fundamental understanding of AI techniques and ability to match techniques to problems
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively in verbal and written form for a variety of audiences

Familiarity with developing, retraining, or using AI and Machine Learning packages
Knowledge of software and hardware optimization techniques for large-scale data processing
Proficiency in data warehousing, data management, and ETL tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Pentaho, Kafka)
