Data Scientist
Job Description
Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Data Scientist to apply analytics and data science to turn structured and unstructured data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
- Partner with clients to understand questions and needs, then explore data-rich environments to identify relevant pieces of information
- Build algorithms and systems using appropriate tools and frameworks to transform disparate data into objective answers for decision-making
- Provide a deep understanding of data meaning and how it can be used
- Deliver real-world outcomes using analytical skills and data science knowledge
Requirements
- Experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
- Experience using Python for data analysis
- Experience analyzing both structured and unstructured data sources
- Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization for targeted data sources
- Experience with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing
- Secret clearance

Nice If You Have
- Experience developing algorithms leveraging R, SAS, SQL, or NoSQL
- Experience with distributed data and computing tools, including Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, or MySQL
- Knowledge of simulation techniques such as discrete event simulation, Monte Carlo simulation, and agent-based modeling
- Experience with visualization packages including Contour, Vertex, Workshop, or Grafana
- Experience with U.S. Army or DoW datasets
- Master’s degree
Security and Eligibility

- Secret clearance is required
Compensation
- Projected compensation range: $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 annually

Work Model
- Onsite: Work will primarily be performed full-time at a customer facility, with collaboration with colleagues and customers as required

- During interviews and assessments, you are expected to be on camera
- Booz Allen may take your picture to verify identity and prevent fraud
