Job Description

YipitData is hiring a Data Scientist, Corporate for the core Panel Science team. In this remote-friendly role, you’ll help build a mathematically rigorous single source of truth for enterprise consumer analytics. You’ll focus on statistical modeling and distribution optimization, and you’ll work closely with Data Engineering to deliver performance-scalable analytics that power a range of product experiences, from dashboards to LLM-driven applications.

Work style: This role can sit in NYC (headquarters), one of the office hubs, or fully remote within the United States. The expectation is East Coast work hours. Please note that if remote work is performed outside the NY office locations, income may be subject to New York State tax withholding, depending on where the work is performed.

Responsibilities

  • Design, validate, and deploy robust, scalable optimization frameworks and distribution models to maintain mathematical integrity across downstream metrics.
  • Explore and execute complex methodologies, assess methodological trade-offs, and implement advanced statistical procedures.
  • Partner cross-functionally to move ad hoc code into standardized, version-controlled templates and logical libraries.
  • Ensure analytics are structured cleanly to support diverse product surfaces, including interactive dashboards and LLM-driven applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineering to optimize code performance and scale analytical workflows.
  • Transition complex statistical calculations from standard database queries into efficient, production-grade cloud compute architectures.

Requirements

  • 4–5 years of professional data science experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a highly quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline).
  • A Master’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional expertise working with, modeling, and optimizing for statistical distributions.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python or R and expert-level SQL.

Salary: USD 170,000 per year (annual on-target earnings anticipated to be up to $170K + bonus element).
