Job Description

Join LexisNexis Risk Solutions in the Insurance Analytics organization as part of the two-year Data Science Accelerator Program (DSAP), with rotations across analytics product development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with assembling, cleaning, and organizing large datasets to support analysis readiness
  • Support teammates with merging and parsing data to identify trends and patterns
  • Learn to apply statistical and machine learning techniques under guidance from senior data scientists
  • Document model code, track results, and contribute to validating predictive models
  • Help create attributes and rules from raw data for analytic initiatives
  • Contribute to data visualization efforts to communicate findings
  • Support preparation of responses to client inquiries related to data, score calculations, or analytic outputs
  • Document work clearly and practice presenting results in a team setting

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science/analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related fields such as Engineering, Economics, and Business
  • Coursework or project experience with Python or R; SQL familiarity is a plus
  • Interest in data analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning
  • Exposure to data visualization tools is desirable: Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, Seaborn
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn and adapt
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and work collaboratively with others

About the Role

  • Data Scientist I (DSAP) role within LexisNexis Insurance Division’s Data Science Accelerator Program
  • Two-year program includes rotations through analytical product development assignments and projects
  • Hybrid position based at headquarters in Alpharetta, GA, with some travel possible
  • Program focuses on learning the business holistically across the Data Science organization

Compensation

  • Annual base pay range (U.S. National): USD 59,200 - 98,600
  • Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to reflect local market rates
  • Eligible for an annual incentive bonus
