Data Scientist III
Job Description
Lead and deliver data science solutions that translate data into measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data science solutions for complex or ambiguous problems using machine learning, statistical modeling, and experimentation
- Assess cross-team perspectives and analyze model interactions across teams, processes, and systems to select the right data science strategy and methods
- Drive data science best practices by setting standards for reproducible models and analyses that others can contribute to and extend
- Mentor and develop other data scientists by reviewing analyses, providing technical feedback, and sharing expertise through presentations and knowledge-sharing sessions
- Spot gaps in current metrics and propose new measurements or data sources, challenging assumptions and restructuring approaches to address root causes of recurring problems
Requirements
- 5+ years working with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python), or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab)
- 4+ years of data scientist experience
- Experience with statistical models such as multinomial logistic regression
- 2+ years of data visualization experience using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, or similar tools
- Experience managing data pipelines
- Experience leading and mentoring on a data science team
