Data Scientist / Software Engineer (NLP & Java) - Expert

Falls Technology is supporting a federal national-security mission by strengthening NLP and machine learning capabilities that can be delivered inside production systems. This on-site role in McLean, VA combines Python-based model development with Java and Spring backend integration, with deployment on AWS for operational use. The position is full-time and requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship.

What you will do

• Develop NLP capabilities using spaCy, Gensim, NLTK, and Hugging Face Transformers
• Create and integrate deep learning models using PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras
• Build backend services in Java with Spring and Spring Data JPA, backed by Oracle and SQL
• Deploy solutions on AWS and Linux using Git, Jenkins, and Apache Tomcat
• Integrate trained models into operational applications and workflows

Required qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• U.S. citizenship
• Strong Python and NLP experience, including spaCy, Gensim, and/or NLTK
• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras
• SQL
• Linux, Git, and AWS experience

Salary: USD 175,000 per yearly.
