Generative AI Data Engineer III
Job Description
Deloitte seeks a Generative AI Data Engineer III in Washington, DC (onsite) to design, build, and deploy ML/AI solutions and data pipelines while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, validate, and deploy ML and AI solutions for business and client use cases
- Develop and maintain data pipelines, model training workflows, and production-grade components powering AI-enabled products
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover patterns, generate insights, and support model development and validation
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product stakeholders, and business teams to translate requirements into concrete technical solutions
- Monitor model and application performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve accuracy, reliability, and scalability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
- 5+ years of professional experience
- 3+ years designing, developing, or deploying ML, AI, or advanced analytics solutions
- 3+ years programming in Python, Pyspark, Pytorch, Tensorflow
- 3+ years of experience developing algorithms, model selection, training/validation/optimization, and evaluation at scale
- 1+ years of technology consulting experience in the Federal Health space
- 1+ years of experience working with AI technologies such as Gemini, Anthropic, OpenAI
- Active or Advanced certifications in Python, Pyspark, Pytorch, Tensorflow
- Ability to travel 20 percent on average based on client work
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
