Excelon Solutions offers a competitive hourly rate of USD 50 - 100 per hour for an onsite Industrial Engineering Analytics Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA. The role centers on building integrated IE models and analytical solutions to optimize capacity, labor, PFEP, and cost for factory planning and operations. You will apply advanced analytics and simulation to boost manufacturing efficiency and cost performance, collaborating closely with operations teams to drive tangible improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement integrated industrial engineering models that link capacity, labor, material flow, PFEP, and COGS to support factory planning and operations
  • Develop and apply advanced analytical models to enhance manufacturing efficiency, capacity planning, and cost optimization
  • Construct capacity models that compare target, forecast, and gated capacity, incorporating cycle time, OEE, yield losses, and bottleneck analysis
  • Create labor models to optimize headcount, utilization, and labor cost across production systems
  • Develop and evaluate business cases for capital investments, including ROI, IRR, NPV, and cost-benefit analyses
  • Model COGS components, including labor, overhead, scrap, and other process-driven costs
  • Design OEE models covering availability, performance, and quality to drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and value stream maps to depict manufacturing systems and identify inefficiencies
  • Design scalable data models and data architectures for IE, capacity, labor, PFEP, and cost analytics
  • Leverage tools such as FlexSim, Anylogic, and Simio to model scenarios and validate insights
  • Utilize data analysis tools including Excel advanced modeling, Python, SQL, and Power BI/Tableau

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in industrial engineering analytics, manufacturing modeling, or operations analysis
  • Proficiency with FlexSim, Anylogic, and Simio
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel advanced modeling, Python, SQL, and Power BI/Tableau
