Lead AI Engineer

Honeywell Aerospace is hiring a Lead AI Engineer in Plymouth, MN to provide technical leadership for AI research and development tied to computer vision and autonomy for aerial vehicle platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert-level technical leadership for the design and development of AI algorithms, models, and AI-driven systems
• Drive development efforts focused on computer vision, artificial intelligence (AI), and autonomy technologies for aerial vehicle platforms
• Craft and implement multi-year research plans to guide technology execution and progression
• Develop and support AI technologies for autonomous vehicle operations, including capabilities such as navigation and obstacle detection
• Identify and pursue government and internal funding opportunities to support technology development
• Lead execution of research and development work with a global team of scientists and engineers
• Report directly to the manager of the autonomy, computer vision and AI research group
