Responsibilities

• Identify and scope AI driven solutions that leverage cutting edge technologies like ML, Generative AI, and Large Language Models.
• Build prototypes, PoCs, and new functionalities to demonstrate feasibility and value of AI applications.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to research, design, and evaluate AI solutions that enhance BMW's in-vehicle and mobility experiences.
• Support the protection of fundamental Intellectual Property Rights relevant to future BMW products and services.
• Share findings with the international research community to shape BMW’s global AI strategy and guide future research directions.
• Survey emerging technologies and integrate advanced AI techniques into prototype systems and future architectures.
• Provide insights that support strategic decision-making, helping stakeholders understand AI technologies and influence R&D and Centers of Competence.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree in electronics, computer science or a related field.
• Proficiency in AI oriented programming languages and tools (e.g., Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LangFlow, Kotlin or equivalent).
• Comfort presenting and defending technical solutions to internal and external teams.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to break down complex problems into manageable parts.
• Experience in building and running Cloud Applications (MLOps).
• At least one year of relevant professional experience in the tech industry or a related field.
