Job Description

The Manufacturing Data Analyst at Fuyao Glass America Inc supports manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction by validating production data, building analytics, and driving reliable departmental KPI reporting. This onsite role in Moraine, OH focuses on Plex data accuracy, forecasting, dashboarding, and operational insights.

Responsibilities

  • Verify data in Plex, correct and standardize the Plex operation, and provide training to maintain system accuracy.
  • Collect, analyze, track, and supervise implementation of key departmental data, including KPI datasets, weekly and monthly reports, overdue inventory handling, and work instruction documentation.
  • Collect, clean, and organize large datasets from multiple systems, including ERP, MES, sensor networks, and inventory platforms such as Plex.
  • Conduct quantitative analysis and build predictive models to identify trends in production efficiency, material usage, and quality deviations.
  • Develop automated reports and interactive dashboards for cross-functional teams, emphasizing KPIs such as yield, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and scrap rates.
  • Perform root cause analysis for production inefficiencies and quality issues, providing actionable findings to support process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Use statistical software for hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and variance analysis to support operational decision-making.
  • Apply financial and operational modeling techniques to optimize production scheduling, reduce inventory holding costs, and improve ROI on capital equipment.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and analytical frameworks that ensure data accuracy, integrity, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with production teams and train operators and engineers on data collection methods, dashboard interpretation, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Apply financial modeling to evaluate ROI on capital equipment investments and analyze trade-offs across scheduling, labor allocation, and raw material purchasing strategies.
  • Build operational and financial forecasting models that integrate manufacturing KPIs with budgeting and cash flow planning, supporting monthly variance analysis and strategic decisions.
  • Ensure accurate barcode-based packing and inventory tracking by integrating logistics data with financial reconciliation systems to support timely and accurate COGS reporting.
  • Support additional financial analysis, including cost-benefit analyses for new process implementations and budgeting impact projections for new production lines.

Requirements

  • Language commonly used in the workplace: English and/or Mandarin.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and interpret written, oral, diagram, or scheduled instructions.
  • Ability to speak effectively and interact with team members, engineers, leadership, and customers.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic operations using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with manufacturing software.
  • Familiar with the company’s production process and Plex operation.
  • Proficiency with EXCEL and other office software, with strong data analysis ability.
  • Good logic ability and strong data analysis ability.
  • Familiar with supply chain management.
  • Training required: PRP operation, PRP management, management methods for material planning, operation training for supply chain management and logistics management, and program manual familiarity.
  • Employee is regularly required to be in good health, able to work long hours with a computer, and able to handle high stress.
