Job Description

The Manufacturing Product Data Analyst role supports global Product Development teams within the IT Applied Data Enablement Organization. This onsite position in Grand Rapids focuses on creating and maintaining product data, applying data governance rules across PDM, MDM, PLM, ERP, PIM, and DAM, and ensuring data integrity across systems through strong cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the creation and ongoing upkeep of product data models across Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Distribution
  • Design, load, and validate rules for MDM, PLM, ERP, PIM, and DAM to support product development, order fulfillment, and lifecycle management
  • Maintain data integrity and consistency across MDM, PLM, ERP, PIM, DAM, and related publications
  • Utilize PDM expertise to analyze, organize, and load product data with precision and efficiency
  • Interpret commercial and engineering data to apply pricing methods and determine product configurations
  • Lead testing and validation of product data and resolve database or procedural errors
  • Influence cross-functional strategies to improve product data efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage electronic catalog downloads and release schedules
  • Participate in modernization efforts and strategic projects with quarterly time allocated for professional development

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3–5 years of experience working with product data and databases
  • Strong database analysis and precise data structuring capabilities
  • Proficiency with SAP, Windchill, Microsoft Office, MDM, PLM, ERP, PIM, DAM, and mass loading tools
  • Knowledge of variant configuration methods and data modeling approaches
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as Statements of Line, Engineering documents, and Windchill structures
  • Experience creating scripts for mass uploads and ongoing process improvements
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support cross-functional teams
  • Experience producing functional specifications and executable IT rules
  • Experience with ERP, MDM, PLM, and PIM systems
  • Agile (SCRUM or Kanban) experience preferred
  • Engineering exposure or collaboration with Engineering teams is highly valuable

General Description

  • Support for new product launches and ongoing management of existing product data
  • Handle non-standard product requests through the specials process
  • Provide global support to teams across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Mexico

Location and Compensation

Location: Grand Rapids, MI (onsite)

Hourly rate: USD 32 per hour
