Job Description

The Product and Data Analyst at FMG Global connects quality and supply chain needs with technology delivery by leading requirements and process analysis, while profiling transaction-level protein raw material quality data to support data product execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit and document requirements from quality, supply chain, supplier management, and analytics stakeholders, then produce clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and non-functional requirements.
  • Own and groom the backlog with the Data Product Director for the quality data domain, including slicing epics into deliverable stories and maintaining a clear definition of ready and done.
  • Map current-state quality processes to designed to-be processes, with emphasis on event and data-submission workflows.
  • Analyze protein raw material quality data end to end across receipts, inspections, microbiological results, NCR events, and monthly statistics to validate definitions and identify insights.
  • Standardize quality metrics and calculations to enable consistent reporting across suppliers, vendors, items, and markets.
  • Validate and stress-test the current and future-state Supplier Risk Score, including incident-rate calculations that underpin the scoring approach.
  • Profile incoming data, monitor data-quality KPIs, and flag integrity risks such as fan-out and double-counting.
  • Contribute to the data dictionary, reference/master/transaction data model, and governance objects used to drive scoring.
  • Partner with the analytics team to define semantic layer metrics and validate dashboards and supplier scorecards.

Required Qualifications

  • 6 to 8 years of combined experience across business analysis, data analysis, and product ownership.
  • Advanced understanding of product concepts such as backlog grooming, feature creation, ceremonies, user flows, roadmapping, and release planning.
  • Proven experience eliciting requirements, mapping processes, and writing user stories for data or platform initiatives.
  • Strong hands-on data analysis skills, including SQL, advanced Excel, and confident profiling and reconciliation of large transactional and quality datasets.
  • Strong preference for experience in supply chain, agrifoods, food manufacturing, or protein/meat processing.
  • Familiarity with quality and food-safety concepts such as NCR/CAPA, AQL inspection, microbiological testing, and foreign-object classification.
  • Exposure to master/reference/transaction data modeling, data dictionaries, and data governance practices.
  • Experience with BI/analytics tools including GoodData, Power BI, and Tableau, along with cloud data platforms; BPMN or workflow modeling is a plus.
  • Excellent written documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
