Job Description

Wyetech is seeking a Senior AI Engineer (SWE3) to help design, build, and integrate AI and ML capabilities for vulnerability identification, mitigation, and certification processes in secure mission environments. This role focuses on delivering production-ready software and AI tooling, including LLM-based solutions, with an emphasis on secure deployment, testing, and support for security assessments and Authority to Operate (ATO) requirements.

What you will do

  • Analyze, design, verify, validate, implement, and maintain complex software systems that support AI/ML mission requirements.
  • Design and develop LLM orchestration frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures, and AI-driven analytical tools.
  • Develop and optimize data engineering pipelines, database solutions, and automated testing capabilities.
  • Integrate AI/ML technologies with software analysis tools to strengthen vulnerability identification and mitigation.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers to deploy secure, scalable AI solutions and support security assessments and ATO requirements.
  • Create technical documentation, provide training, and deliver stakeholder briefings and demonstrations.
  • Apply principles from discrete mathematics, probability, statistics, and related computer science areas to complex software systems.
  • Generalize techniques across multiple domains while producing documentation, training, and technical briefings and demonstrations.

Required qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Python, AI/ML development, LLM integration, and data engineering.
  • Experience developing, fine-tuning, and integrating Large Language Models to support mission-specific analytical capabilities.
  • Experience designing and maintaining LLM orchestration frameworks that integrate static analyzers, RAG, and automated testing pipelines.
  • Experience building data preprocessing pipelines to ingest, clean, transform, and vectorize source code, documentation, and testing artifacts.
  • Proficiency with relational and vector databases for RAG architectures, artifact storage, metadata management, and audit trails.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and optimizing AI-powered applications and networked tools within secure environments.
  • Understanding of software performance profiling, optimization, scalability, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools including Git, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Ability to collaborate with mission stakeholders, technical leadership, and systems engineers to develop requirements and support security assessments and ATO processes.
  • Education and experience must meet one of the following combinations:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or qualifying related discipline) plus 8 years of relevant experience.
    • Master's degree in Computer Science (or qualifying related discipline) plus 6 years of relevant experience.
    • Doctoral degree in Computer Science (or qualifying related discipline) plus 4 years of relevant experience.
    • Associate's degree in Computer Science (or qualifying related discipline) plus 10 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth, directly related experience.
  • Degree must be in Computer Science or a qualifying related discipline, with coursework including foundational Computer Science subjects such as algorithms, computer architecture (not network architecture), programming methodologies and languages, data structures, logic and computation, and advanced mathematics.
  • IT or Information Systems degrees may be considered if coursework is equivalent in amount and type to a Computer Science major.
  • Relevant experience must include software development and programming activities including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, integration, deployment/installation, and maintenance.
  • Formal or informal leadership experience is preferred.
  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Fullscope Polygraph required.
  • Citizenship: United States Citizenship required.
