Senior Applied AI Engineer

Omada Health is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to help lead the deployment of advanced AI models and applications, with a strong focus on LLMs and end-to-end AI solutions. In this role, you will design and develop AI capabilities, connect them to measurable business outcomes, and work across teams to iterate quickly while maintaining strong performance after deployment.

What you will do

• Lead the creation of AI solutions that specifically leverage the power of LLMs.
• Influence business outcomes by deploying new solutions in close partnership with product and business collaborators.
• Use industry-standard LLM APIs to embed advanced AI features into broader applications, drawing on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Build models that drive business impact, then improve iteratively using data-driven insights.
• Maintain peak model efficiency through performance monitoring and ongoing adjustments post-deployment.
• Deploy within an Agile development framework to support flexibility, rapid iteration, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate proactively with the Applied AI team and cross-functionally with other development teams, product stakeholders, and business partners to iterate on ideas and solve problems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience deploying AI models with demonstrated business impact.
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and managing end-to-end AI solutions, with emphasis on Generative AI, prompt engineering, and fine tuning.
• Deep expertise using tools for Generative AI interaction, including OpenAI, Bedrock, Huggingface TGI, Ollama, langchain, and llamaindex.
• Expertise in machine learning tools such as AWS SageMaker, PyTorch, and Hugging Face.
• General experience with cloud ML platforms, especially ML services on AWS, Azure, and GCP (including Sagemaker and Azure ML).
• Successful experience monitoring model performance after deployment and linking AI solutions to tangible business outcomes.
• Strong cross-team collaboration skills to deploy AI solutions that match broader business needs.
• Comfort working as a problem-solver in ambiguous, complex environments.
• A lifelong learning mindset to stay current with new technologies and methodologies in fast-evolving AI.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
• BA/BS in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Interest in the intersection of healthcare and AI.

• Salary: USD 174,400 - 250,700 per yearly
