Senior Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst role centers on developing Power BI dashboards and data visualizations to support defense modernization programs, collaborating with the Product Owner, UX Designer, and IT to ensure reliable data and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Product Owner and UX Designer to design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that deliver meaningful insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective data visualizations and reports.
• Leverage APIs across multiple platforms to connect and extract data, ensuring accurate and timely data retrieval.
• Participate in user story creation, sprint planning, and test case development within an agile project environment.
• Implement best practices for data modeling, including efficient data transformation and aggregation.
• Work with the IT team to ensure availability and reliability of data sources and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Power BI and related technologies to continuously enhance dashboard design and functionality.

Requirements

• DoD Secret clearance (prior to start date); US citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree and 4 to 8 years of relevant experience; additional years may substitute for education.
• 4+ years of experience with Business Analytics tools for developing reports and dashboards.
• 4+ years of experience with Power BI including M Query, DAX, Data Modelling, and/or Row-Level Security (RLS).
• 3+ years in database technologies with strong SQL query writing, preferably SQL Server.
• 1+ year of Python experience.
• Experience working in an Agile environment with tools such as Jira and GitLab.
• Excellent communication skills to translate business requirements into dashboards and reports.
• Current IAT Level II or higher certification such as Security+ within 30 days of start.
