Job Description
Propelus is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer in Boulder, CO (onsite) with a salary range of USD 100,000 to 140,000 per year; a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience are required.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to source data from multiple systems and load it into the data warehouse.
- Model, implement, and optimize data structures to support analytics and reporting needs.
- Partner with data science teams to develop and deploy machine learning models and analytical solutions.
- Ensure data quality and address data integrity issues.
- Contribute to data documentation and metadata governance practices.
- Gather stakeholder data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Support evaluation and adoption of new data technologies and tools.
- Participate in code reviews and help define coding standards and best practices.
- Own assigned tasks and projects from start to finish, delivering on time with quality.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline data processes and improve systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data warehousing services (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
- Familiarity with data testing frameworks.
- Experience with ETL tools and techniques such as Apache Airflow and dbt.
- Strong understanding of data modeling principles and data warehouse architecture.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration on codebases.
