Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect Enterprise Data and Analytics - Vice President

Citi is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect (Vice President) to design, build, and optimize enterprise scale data platforms and analytics solutions. The role leads data pipelines, BI dashboards, and governance initiatives across the organization. The position is based in Rutherford, New Jersey with a hybrid work arrangement, and offers a salary range of USD 142,320 to 213,480 per year.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data architectures including data lakes and data warehouses organized in a Medallion Bronze, Silver, Gold pattern
• Develop and manage robust ETL and ELT pipelines using SSIS, Apache Airflow, and Dataform
• Build and optimize high performance data models and database objects such as stored procedures, views, and tables
• Process and manage large-scale datasets (1TB plus and billions of rows) with high reliability and accuracy
• Create and maintain BI dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other tools
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights and analytics solutions
• Integrate data from multiple systems including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, APIs, Big Data, and Hadoop
• Optimize SQL queries and data pipelines for performance and scalability
• Ensure data quality, governance, and system uptime
• Lead cross-functional teams and drive data strategy, roadmaps, and best practices
• Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing across teams

Requirements

• Minimum of six years in data engineering, analytics, or BI development
• SQL and T-SQL proficiency
• Python
• ETL tools including SSIS, Apache Airflow, Dataform, and Azure Data Factory
• Hands-on experience with Tableau or Power BI
• Experience with data warehousing and data modeling
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Data engineering and pipeline development
• Data visualization and storytelling
• Cloud data platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud
