Job Description
Healthcare Claims Management, based in Indianapolis, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade data integration and analytics platforms. This role provides technical leadership across engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver robust data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and customer-facing data products.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using distributed processing frameworks and cloud analytics platforms.
- Architect complex ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows to meet analytics and reporting needs.
- Lead data modeling and data architecture decisions to ensure accuracy, performance, and scalability.
- Capitalize on deep SQL Server expertise, including query optimization and performance tuning.
- Automate, monitor, and optimize production pipelines to maintain high availability and data integrity.
- Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions.
- Mentor team members and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and documentation.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and process improvement within the data engineering team.

- Extensive experience with SQL Server or similar relational database platforms.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Location: Hybrid role based in Indianapolis, IN. Schedule: Full-time with in-office presence a minimum of three days per week (four days preferred). Work environment is highly collaborative and team-oriented, with reasonable accommodations available to support essential duties.
