Job Description

Central Point Partners is seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This remote, full-time role focuses on designing, building, and governing a modern enterprise data platform that enables real-time operational and financial reporting across multiple entities. The position reports to the Director of Enterprise Applications & Business Intelligence. Compensation ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 per year, plus benefits including 401(k) with matching, health insurance, and paid time off.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and govern the enterprise data landscape within Microsoft Fabric, including Lakehouses, Dataflows Gen2, data pipelines, semantic models, and governance standards.
  • Build and maintain scalable ELT pipelines integrating data from IFS Cloud, Vista, ComputerEase, Sage Intacct, CRM, and other operational platforms.
  • Design enterprise data models to support WIP and Percentage of Completion, job costing, AR aging, retainage, field service operations, and multi-entity financial reporting.
  • Lead Power BI architecture and governance, including semantic layer design, row-level security, dataset certification, deployment pipelines, and workspace administration.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, and IT to translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Establish data quality, monitoring, testing, and governance standards across the enterprise data platform.
  • Mentor analysts and technical team members on Power BI development standards and reporting best practices.
  • Support future-state analytics initiatives including predictive analytics, self-service BI, and AI-enabled reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or senior BI development roles.
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric components including Lakehouses, Data Factory pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, OneLake governance, and semantic model deployment.
  • Advanced Power BI capabilities including DAX, composite models, DirectQuery and import optimization, deployment pipelines, and workspace administration.
  • Strong experience with enterprise data modeling (dimensional and relational).
  • Experience working with ERP and financial systems such as IFS, Vista, ComputerEase, Sage Intacct, Procore, and similar platforms.
  • Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and pipeline development.
  • Experience with ETL/ELT and integration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Fabric pipelines, and Boomi.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
