Senior Data Scientist - AI Trainer

Work fully remote with flexible scheduling, using your quantitative and coding skills to help train AI models that reason about data and scientific questions. This contract role is designed for hands-on contributors who can evaluate quantitative analyses, build and solve training problems, and deliver clear feedback that improves model outputs. Projects are paid hourly and handled via PayPal.

What you’ll do

• Evaluate AI-generated quantitative work, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, scientific reasoning, and data-driven insights, for both technical accuracy and real-world validity.
• Design and solve quantitative problems used to train and benchmark AI systems, covering areas such as forecasting, experimental analysis, optimization, and statistical inference.
• Produce clear technical explanations and maintain well-documented analytical code that supports your assessments.
• Provide feedback that directly shapes model improvements for AI systems built to handle quantitative reasoning and scientific problem contexts.

What you’ll need

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a quantitative role or research environment (for example: data science, statistics, economics, finance, physics, biology, epidemiology, operations research, or a closely related field).
• Coding experience with comfort writing and reviewing analytical code end-to-end.
• Practical statistical and modeling experience, including predictive modeling and experiment design, such as A/B testing, hypothesis testing, regression, classification, and time-series forecasting.
• English fluency (native or bilingual) with strong writing skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (preferred). Master’s or PhD is a plus.
• Relevant credentials are a plus, such as Kaggle Competition ranking and/or AWS/GCP ML certifications (or equivalent demonstrated expertise).
