Junior Data Scientist - AI Trainer

micro1 is hiring a Junior Data Scientist - AI Trainer contractor to support a remote AI evaluation effort in partnership with a leading AI lab.

Responsibilities

• Assess AI model outputs on data science, statistics, machine learning, and quantitative tasks
• Develop expert-level prompts, datasets, and reference solutions
• Spot issues including flawed methodology, statistical errors, and weak quantitative reasoning
• Deliver structured feedback intended to improve model capability

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience working at a top company (tech, finance, or research)
• At least part of the experience must be within the past 3 years
• Must be based in an English-speaking country
• Ability to communicate technical and statistical concepts clearly in writing

Compensation

• Pay rate: USD 150 - 200 per hour
• Expected hours: 40.0 per week
• Compensation is based on approved work completed and accepted through the project’s quality review process
