Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Motion Recruitment is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC. In this position, you will help define the architecture behind scalable AI/ML systems and agentic workflows, with a focus on building and deploying advanced AI models and retrieval capabilities for a highly regulated professional-services environment.

The work centers on taking models from design to production while improving enterprise-grade platforms that support secure, large-scale ML. The role also involves building agent-based workflows and integrating retrieval systems that align with the demands of regulated use cases.

What you’ll do

• Build and deploy advanced AI and machine learning models for professional research tools
• Design and improve large-scale, distributed ML systems and enterprise platforms
• Develop and integrate agent-based AI workflows and retrieval systems
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support scalable and secure AI solutions

Requirements

• Strong experience with AI/ML and agentic workflows
• Strong experience with LLM and RAG architecture
• Experience with vector databases
• Exposure to MLOps
• Proficiency with Python
• Exposure to AWS and Kubernetes

Desired skills & experience
