Job Description

Peraton is seeking a Software/Data Engineer to support an enterprise-wide engineering contract for its Cyber Mission business unit in the Intelligence Community.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems based on documented requirements
  • Review and test software components to confirm adherence to design requirements
  • Document software test results
  • Apply software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the environment
  • Provide input to software components of system design, including use of COTS/GOTS instead of new development
  • Analyze system performance standards to develop software solutions
  • Confer with users and system engineers
  • Analyze usage and work processes
  • Investigate problem areas and support resolution efforts
  • Support one of the largest enterprise-wide engineering contracts within the Intelligence Community

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field from an accredited college or university plus 19 years of demonstrated experience in Software Engineering
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field plus 17 years of Software Engineering experience
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field plus 14 years of Software Engineering experience
  • OR 20 years of Software Engineering experience with a High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and other comparable platforms
  • Strong background in Linux and Python
  • Understanding of IT management and operations
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are a plus

Compensation

  • Target salary range: $176,000 - $282,000 per year
