As a senior member of the team, you will influence AI aided development across a microservices oriented enterprise, shaping architecture, governance, and best practices while collaborating with skilled colleagues. The role emphasizes impact on the software development lifecycle, CI/CD integration, security posture, and technical debt management.

Responsibilities

• Guide the practical use of agentic IDEs for complex changes spanning multiple modules or services
• Establish review practices and quality gates for AI generated code
• Mentor teammates on balancing autonomy with correctness and maintainability in AI assisted development
• Design system architectures that support AI augmented and agent driven development workflows
• Define guardrails, standards, and governance for autonomous coding agents
• Evaluate how agentic IDEs affect SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, security posture, and technical debt
• Provide senior leadership in architecting and delivering agentic IDE enabled solutions across multi service ecosystems
• Define architectural intent for agents, decompose features into agent executable tasks, and govern AI autonomy with permissions and reviews
• Integrate agentic workflows into CI/CD pipelines and supervise AI agents across multi service systems, legacy modernization, and large codebases or monorepos
• Address security implications, compliance, auditability, and traceability within AI assisted SDLC operating models

Requirements

• Java: 12+ years of experience, with recent work in Java 11+
• 5+ years with Spring 4 and 5, including Spring Boot 2, Spring Data, Spring Cloud, Spring Integration and Spring REST API development
• Angular: 3+ years in an event driven asynchronous architecture with Kafka integration, and the ability to discuss relevant design patterns
• GCP experience
• Postgres SQL experience
• Comfort discussing pros and cons of various middle tier architecture design patterns
• Experience delivering modern solutions for high transaction volume performance
• Ability to articulate and apply design pattern types for modern software development
• Experience with Agile Scrum and Kanban, and with Jira
• Experience using IntelliJ IDE, including debugging, mocking, and developing unit tests across enterprise web applications
• Strong experience with modern testing frameworks including Spring unit and integration testing, JUnit 5, Hamcrest, and related practices
• Enterprise level experience with Git, Gradle, and other build automation tools
• Extensive recent experience designing and building within a modern Micro Service Architecture
• Spanner experience is a plus
• NoSQL and Cassandra experience are pluses
• Proven experience at senior architecture levels (Tech Lead, Architect, Principal) delivering agentic IDE based systems
• Ability to define architectural intent for agents, break features into executable tasks, govern AI autonomy, and integrate agentic workflows into CI/CD
• Experience supervising AI agents across multi service environments, including legacy modernization and large codebases
• Strong awareness of security, compliance, auditability, and traceability in AI assisted software development

Compensation

Compensation range: USD 70.00 to 80.00 per hour.
