Job Description

Daiichi Sankyo is hiring a hands-on Tableau Developer for the cMARS team. This hybrid role in Basking Ridge, NJ (local candidates only; 3 days onsite) focuses on building interactive dashboards and analytics that help R&D stakeholders turn data into clear decisions. You will work directly in Tableau and SQL daily, translating ambiguous needs into reliable data visualizations.

What you will do

  • Design and develop interactive, user-centric dashboards and reports in Tableau
  • Translate business requirements into insightful visualizations and data stories
  • Create advanced visualization experiences, including drill-downs and hierarchical navigation
  • Build advanced components such as heat maps, box plots, trend analysis, and statistical charts
  • Develop dynamic dashboards using parameters and actions
  • Develop and optimize complex calculations, including Level of Detail (LOD) expressions, table calculations, conditional logic, and dynamic formatting
  • Ensure dashboards are accurate, performant, and scalable
  • Maintain dashboard documentation, including mapping specifications, test dashboards, and testing scripts
  • Collaborate with data engineers to define and refine data tables for dashboard consumption and to support data quality and usability for analytics
  • Partner with business analysts to refine wireframes, metrics, and functional requirements
  • Apply data visualization best practices for clarity, usability, and performance
  • Troubleshoot dashboard and data issues by identifying root causes and implementing solutions

What you bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on Tableau experience (dashboard development, not just usage)
  • Strong background building interactive dashboards and complex visualizations
  • 3+ years of SQL experience, including joins, aggregations, and subqueries
  • Ability to explore and validate datasets
  • Solid understanding of data modeling and relational databases (e.g., Redshift, Oracle, Snowflake)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with tools including JIRA, Confluence, and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Work Authorization: US Citizen

Preferred qualifications

  • Tableau Certification (for example, Tableau Certified Data Analyst)
  • Experience working with R&D or clinical trials data in pharma or life sciences
  • Experience designing dashboards for large-scale or enterprise data environments
  • Familiarity with performance optimization techniques in Tableau (including pathways like Tableau Certified Data Analyst)

Compensation and benefits

Hourly pay range: $60–72/hr (dependent on location, experience, and expectation). The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is $60-72/hr.
