Connection is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead data and application integration work across multiple database platforms. In this onsite role in Merrimack, NH, you will design, develop, test, deploy, and support data integration and migration solutions, while providing technical leadership, mentoring, and on-call production support. You will also collaborate closely with business lines, analysts, and project managers.

What you’ll do
- Design and develop data integration and data migration solutions, including documentation for technical specifications, deployment, and support procedures.
- Build database integration solutions covering requirement specifications, impact analysis, functional and technical design, programming, documentation, testing, data conversion, and implementation.
- Partner with business teams, analysts, and project managers to design and support new or modified database systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to help developers improve their skills.
- Lead complex production support initiatives and apply long-term solutions where appropriate.
- Provide on-call support for database integration solutions.
- Track project hours in time management software.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
What you’ll bring
- Strong working knowledge of SQL.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and/or Oracle relational database systems, plus cloud data solutions such as Databricks.
- Strong working knowledge of source control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
- Strong knowledge of multiple data integration tools including SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Databricks Transformation capabilities, and replication engines.
- Strong knowledge of application development principles and techniques, including system integration and software dependencies.
- Strong knowledge of logical and physical database design concepts.
- Basic working knowledge of Business Intelligence applications such as Microsoft Power BI.
- Ability to analyze functional requirements and data to design and build technical solutions.
- Ability to establish development estimates, meet target dates, and provide accurate scope analysis for large projects.
- Experience conducting knowledge transfer sessions and technical walk-throughs.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to company policies and standards, with effective verbal and written communication.
- Flexibility to manage multiple projects concurrently, and ability to interface cooperatively with business partners and co-workers.
