This Sourcing Recruiter role within AWS Databases focuses on building candidate pipelines for senior and principal database engineering roles, shaping sourcing strategies, and partnering with hiring managers to translate complex technical requirements into effective search plans. The position is on-site in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end sourcing strategies for senior and principal level roles across database engines, distributed systems, query optimization, replication, and open source ecosystems.
- Identify candidates beyond standard channels through in-depth research, creative sourcing campaigns, target company mapping, and referral development.
- Lead sourcing discussions with engineering teams to extract signals, cultivate referrals, and validate candidate profiles.
- Maintain pipeline health with accurate candidate records, track sourcing metrics, and deliver clear progress updates and market insights to stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand deeply technical requirements and convert them into actionable search plans.
- Elevate team standards by contributing to sourcing best practices, training, and process improvements that benefit the organization.
Requirements
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience in environments with high volume and high hiring standards
- Experience building candidate sourcing and closing strategies
- Experience recruiting for mid-senior level talent

Compensation
Annual base salary range: USD 72,600 to 126,100.
