State Street is hiring a Vice President to lead enterprise agentic AI engineering strategy within its GenAI Center of Excellence. In this hybrid role in Quincy, MA, you will shape the architecture and governance for a multi-cloud agentic AI platform, partner across teams, and help drive reliability, scalability, and cost optimization across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
What you’ll do
- Own the enterprise agentic platform strategy, including architecture, technology roadmap, and governance standards, with emphasis on multi-cloud scalability and resilience.
- Apply experience with agent frameworks such as LangChain, Langraph, and GoogleADK to advance multi-agent orchestration at scale.
- Set and monitor organizational standards for multi-agent orchestration, including A2A protocols, HITL, tenant IAM/RBAC, and runtime security across cloud platforms.
- Represent the Agent Foundry and Runtime pods in executive and cross-functional governance forums, influencing cloud adoption and enterprise strategy.
- Lead platform-wide initiatives focused on reliability, scalability, and cost optimization for agentic AI workloads across AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
- Build, lead, and develop engineering leadership talent across the pods.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Data/Knowledge, and Product teams to ensure end-to-end alignment between cloud and agentic stack adoption.
- Promote continuous improvement by fostering technical excellence and emerging best practices for cloud-native agentic platforms.
- Oversee organizational compliance, risk, and performance reviews for agentic AI, including across public cloud environments.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (advanced degrees a plus).
- 12–17 years of relevant experience, including leadership of large-scale, multi-agent or AI-driven platforms.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with at least one additional modern language such as Java, Go, or C++.
- Proven strategic ownership of platform architecture and technology roadmaps, with deep knowledge of agentic AI systems.
- Extensive hands-on and leadership experience with AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure, including security, governance, and cost optimization.
- Demonstrated success defining organizational standards for reliability, scalability, and incident management in AI systems.
- Experience partnering with executive and cross-functional teams on platform strategy and delivery.
- Track record of building and developing engineering leadership talent and fostering innovation.
- Expertise in compliance, risk management, and performance oversight for enterprise AI solutions.
- Strong communication, governance, and stakeholder management skills.

Location and work schedule
Hybrid work model with regular on-site presence required in one of the following locations: Boston, MA; Austin, TX; Princeton, NJ.
Salary
$120,000 - $217,500 Annual. The range applies to the role in the primary location specified; if the candidate ultimately works outside the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
