A/AI Machine Learning Engineer- Early Career

Lockheed Martin invites early-career A/AI Machine Learning engineers to join the Enterprise Business Services AI practice. This role focuses on heading the AI Consulting portfolio and driving the development and deployment of AI solutions across the enterprise, blending software engineering, AI/ML expertise, and business acumen. The position supports remote, full-time work from Bethesda, MD, with a schedule designed to balance impact and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the AI Consulting portfolio and guide strategic initiatives in AI.
• Steer the design, development, and rollout of AI solutions that deliver business value and foster innovation across the enterprise.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience building machine learning models through work, projects, or coursework
• Experience with software development and software engineering best practices, with proficiency in Python
• Strong problem-solving abilities, business acumen, and excellent oral and written communication skills

Remote Work

Full-time remote telework is available. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedule

4x10 hour days, with 3 days off per week.

Compensation

Annual base salary: USD 84,200 – 145,935. In most major metro areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York this range applies; for other states the final range will reflect the candidate’s location.
