Job Description

Apple Bank for Savings is seeking an AFC Systems Data Analyst to join its New York, NY hybrid team. The role centers on analyzing AFC systems data, managing data feeds, and delivering reports and validations to support BSA/AML/ABC and sanctions compliance, with collaboration across IT and external vendors. The position offers a salary range of USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the data subject-matter expert for all BSA/AML and sanctions data and data feeds across systems.
  • Assist in calibrating, tuning, optimizing, and evaluating the performance of transaction monitoring platforms.
  • Support data process management, including creating business requirements documentation, data mapping, and validations.
  • Create standard and ad hoc reports to meet the needs of AFC users and leadership.
  • Document data feeds and end-to-end data flows, mapping from source systems to target destinations.
  • Identify data issues and drive them through resolution.
  • Craft tailored SQL queries to validate feeds, detect invalid values, maintain referential integrity of key attributes, and satisfy specific logical requirements.
  • Support risk assessments and model validations for AFC systems from a data standpoint.
  • Help coordinate responses to internal audits and external regulators during examinations.
  • Support the preparation and upkeep of remediation action plans for AFC systems, tracking the status of open actions.
  • Assist in overseeing AFC systems, including upgrades and patches, validating data feeds, and testing risk models and parameters under the Head of AFC Systems guidance.
  • Join discussions on process standardization and improvements with the BSA Officer and process partners.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in computer science, information technology or a related field, with experience in systems administration, analysis, reporting and data management, databases or related areas.
  • At least one year of experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • At least one year of experience with major database solutions such as Oracle or MS SQL Server.
  • At least one year of Python scripting experience.
  • At least one year of SQL query development experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multi-tasking, team-based environment.
