Agentic AI Engineer

System One is hiring for an Agentic AI Engineer on a contract-to-hire basis in Pittsburgh, PA (onsite) with additional locations listed as Dallas, TX and Cleveland, OH.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents that can support reasoning, planning, memory management, and autonomous task execution
• Configure agent and workflow behavior in Azure Foundry and AWS Bedrock
• Build prompt engineering components, agent orchestration, and tool-calling mechanisms
• Create multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, MCP Server, or Semantic Kernel
• Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for context-aware responses
• Develop scalable backend services and APIs that support AI agent operations
• Monitor agent performance, reliability, and response quality
• Apply responsible AI practices including security, governance, observability, and compliance
• Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven automation solutions

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building agentic AI automation using Azure or AWS
• 2+ years of software development experience with agentic AI implementation
• Strong experience with Azure Foundry and/or AWS Bedrock for agentic automation development
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Pandas
• Good exposure to agile testing processes
• Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders
