Agentic AI Engineer
Job Description
System One is hiring for an Agentic AI Engineer on a contract-to-hire basis in Pittsburgh, PA (onsite) with additional locations listed as Dallas, TX and Cleveland, OH.
Responsibilities
- Develop AI agents that can support reasoning, planning, memory management, and autonomous task execution
- Configure agent and workflow behavior in Azure Foundry and AWS Bedrock
- Build prompt engineering components, agent orchestration, and tool-calling mechanisms
- Create multi-agent workflows using frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, MCP Server, or Semantic Kernel
- Design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for context-aware responses
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs that support AI agent operations
- Monitor agent performance, reliability, and response quality
- Apply responsible AI practices including security, governance, observability, and compliance
- Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-driven automation solutions
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building agentic AI automation using Azure or AWS
- 2+ years of software development experience with agentic AI implementation
- Strong experience with Azure Foundry and/or AWS Bedrock for agentic automation development
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Pandas
- Good exposure to agile testing processes
- Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders
