AI Engineer

True Zero Technologies is seeking an AI Engineer to advance analytics and automation in support of the VA Zero Trust acceleration effort.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-assisted methods to classify, summarize, correlate, and quality-check approved Zero Trust assessment and implementation data.
• Prototype analytics that detect maturity trends, implementation anomalies, recurring dependencies, and reusable engineering insights.
• Integrate approved AI services with existing data and automation workflows using secure, auditable interfaces.
• Define human review, traceability, validation, and quality controls for AI-assisted outputs used in reporting and decision support.
• Support automation of repetitive technical documentation and evidence-processing tasks when permitted by source data and Government policy.
• Document models, prompts, logic, data dependencies, limitations, and validation results to enable repeatable and responsible use.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of machine learning, AI engineering, data science, or intelligent automation experience.
• Proficiency with Python and common data or machine learning frameworks.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities via APIs and building auditable data workflows.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, validation, and human-in-the-loop review.

• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, classification, anomaly detection, or structured extraction.
• Experience operating within Federal security and data handling constraints.
