AI Engineer (Cyber-Defense)

Motion Recruitment is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to work full-time onsite in Washington, DC, with a focus on cyber-defense use cases. In this role, you will build and deploy AI and LLM-powered applications, including agentic systems designed to perform in adversarial or contested environments.

You will apply your experience across model development and evaluation to create autonomous agents that can make decisions under pressure, while also ensuring the underlying data and deployment approach are rigorous and practical for real-world constraints.

What you’ll do

• Build and deploy AI/LLM-powered applications
• Work hands-on on autonomous agentic AI systems
• Apply experience across agentic AI, multi-agent systems, orchestration, fine-tuning, model evaluation, and autonomous decision-making
• Develop agents that operate in adversarial or contested environments

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Experience with Python, PyTorch, and the ML stack
• Hands-on experience building autonomous agentic AI systems
• Deep familiarity with how frontier models behave
• Rigorous instincts on the data side
• Knowledge of running models on constrained hardware
