Job Description

In Fort Worth, TX with remote flexibility, this senior AI and machine learning engineer role centers on signal processing within LAIC. You will lead technical projects from initial research through deployment, applying advanced AI techniques to solve complex signal processing challenges and deliver innovative solutions. The position blends hands-on coding, system design, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and apply AI technologies, including computer vision, deep learning, and reinforcement learning, to solve signal processing problems and drive innovation.
  • Participate across the full system development lifecycle, from requirements and design to implementation, integration, and flight testing.
  • Own critical tasks and lead technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to proposals and whitepapers to secure funding for AI research and development projects.
  • Assume technical lead responsibilities and mentor junior engineers to build their capabilities.
  • Provide guidance to team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy AI solutions and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
  • Engage with other Lockheed Martin groups to identify opportunities for AI adoption and application.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in AI or a related field.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or Keras.
  • Proficiency in Python and libraries including NumPy, OpenCV, Scikit-learn, Pandas, SciPy, and others.
  • Hands-on experience applying ML and DL to signal processing domains such as radar, communications, electronic warfare, sonar, audio, or biomedical signals.
  • Broad experience applying AI across multiple lines of business or customer programs in large enterprise or government settings.
