Job Description

Fortrex is seeking an AI Native HR Data Analyst to design HR data infrastructure and AI-assisted workflows that help HR, Safety, and Compliance leaders move from questions to faster, trustworthy answers. This onsite role in Atlanta, GA focuses on building reusable reporting systems, improving data integrity, and delivering insight-driven dashboards.

Responsibilities

  • Use Claude and other AI tools to accelerate exploratory work, draft and refine SQL/queries, identify trends across HRIS and workforce datasets, and validate findings before they reach leadership.
  • Apply AI as a thinking partner to extend perspective and capabilities while maintaining sound judgment.
  • Find repetitive manual reporting work and redesign it into automated, sustainable workflows to reduce turnaround time and enable higher-value analysis.
  • Build with reusability in mind so workflows remain useful beyond a single request.
  • Develop systems that move beyond static reporting by surfacing trends, anomalies, and root-cause context (the “why” behind the numbers), proactively flagging issues across employee engagement, turnover, safety compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and completeness of HR data across HRIS, people management systems, and related platforms.
  • Perform regular audits and implement automated checks to catch discrepancies early.
  • Create clear, visually compelling, and low-maintenance dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and AI-assisted tooling, ensuring usability for non-technical stakeholders and resilience when data sources change.
  • Partner with HR, Compliance, Safety, Operations, Finance, and IT to understand reporting needs, align metrics to organizational goals, and translate ambiguous questions into concrete deliverables.
  • Improve how data is collected, modeled, and communicated, and take ownership of implementation rather than only reporting issues.
  • Support experimental or exploratory initiatives, including new metrics, predictive models, or AI tools, as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and reporting/BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, and SQL.
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to support analysis and automation, along with the judgment to verify, trust appropriately, or override outputs.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret complex or messy datasets and convert findings into actionable insights.
  • A builder mindset focused on repeatable workflows instead of repeating manual work.
  • Genuine curiosity, including investigating anomalies and communicating insights effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights to HR, Safety, and Compliance leadership.
  • Knowledge of HR metrics, workforce analytics, and compliance reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and a sustained commitment to data accuracy.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
