Job Description

Anduril Industries invites applications for an Analytics Engineer to join Sentry in Irvine, onsite. The role offers equity grants as part of the total compensation package, top-tier benefits for full-time employees, and a comprehensive benefits plan with low or no cost to you. The position carries a salary range of USD 146,000 to 194,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytic systems that ingest, transform, and model data from diverse sources such as deployment systems, inventory databases, monitoring tools, and business systems, while ensuring data quality and accessibility.
  • Create data products and dashboards that support decision making, from ad hoc analyses for rapid iteration to scalable trackers that reveal deployment status, inventory health, component lifecycles, fleet performance, and system reliability.
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for analytics tools, acting as product manager, designer, and builder to define requirements, craft user experiences, deliver technical solutions, and iterate based on user feedback.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data challenges into effective solutions, working within ERP, MRP, and other operational platforms to bridge technical and operational needs.
  • Drive operational efficiency through data analysis by validating deployment data, reconciling inventory, analyzing trends, investigating variances, and conducting root-cause analyses to identify bottlenecks and optimize processes.
  • Enhance Sentry fleet management and sustainment by using data to assess field performance, optimize deployment strategies, and improve sustainment operations for the growing fleet.
  • Iterate data products based on stakeholder feedback and evolving requirements as Sentry scales, continuously improving solutions.
  • Document data definitions, business logic, and methodologies to promote data literacy and self-service capabilities across teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of professional experience in an analytics-focused role (Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Analyst, or similar).
  • Degree in a quantitative or analytical field (for example Statistics, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Operations Research, Computer Science) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Technical proficiency with SQL and Python (or similar languages) to manipulate and analyze data.
  • Demonstrated ability to own problems end-to-end, from framing to solution design and deployment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and translating business problems into data solutions.
  • Proactive, action-oriented mindset with a preference for building robust, scalable solutions rather than patching existing ones.
  • Comfort solving complex, messy problems and creating order in a rapidly evolving operational environment.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, supply chain, and operations teams to drive outcomes.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
