What you’ll do
You will design, build, and maintain domain-aligned semantic models in Power BI and Fabric to support scalable analytics.
- Design, build, and maintain domain-aligned semantic models in Power BI / Fabric
- Develop business metrics using DAX, including complex measures and calculation groups
- Apply dimensional modeling best practices for performance, usability, and consistency
- Own data governance responsibilities such as Row-Level Security, dataset certification, and access controls
- Build and support high-impact Power BI reports and apps
- Troubleshoot issues across models and reports, including performance, refresh, and logic
- Partner with Data Engineering to shape analytics-ready data models
- Monitor performance, reliability, and usage of analytics assets
- Contribute to CI/CD processes using Git, PBIP, and deployment pipelines
- Enable self-service analytics through certified datasets and reusable assets
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate outcomes
What you’ll bring
- HS or GED required; a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience can substitute for the degree
- 4–6 years in Analytics Engineering, BI, or advanced Power BI roles
- DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) and PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) certifications
- Demonstrated ownership of production semantic models and governed metrics
- Strong expertise in DAX, dimensional modeling, and performance optimization
- Experience delivering production-grade analytics solutions used by the business
- Solid SQL and data modeling skills
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Fabric / Power BI ecosystem
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices
- Familiarity with Fabric components such as Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Direct Lake (preferred)
- Experience with product-oriented analytics teams (preferred)
- Experience with Tabular Editor (preferred)
