Applied AI Engineer

Overview

Intone Networks is offering an onsite contract role in New York, NY for an Applied AI Engineer. The position centers on building and operating end-to-end AI and ML platforms and GenAI production workflows, with emphasis on LLMOps, GenAI orchestration, and enterprise GenAI deployments. Preference is given to candidates with experience in Fixed Income or Institutional Lending. The engagement is based in New York, NY 10019, includes three onsite days and one onsite interview, and runs 12 to 18 months or longer. The rate is 65-70 C2C.

Requirements

• 5+ years of strong front-to-back engineering experience, focusing on AI ML platforms and workflows (Python or Java).
• Python or Java with frontend experience in Angular or React is a major plus.
• 2+ years of dedicated experience in practical application of GenAI solutions in an enterprise business environment.
• Strong LLMOps expertise, including evaluation harnesses, prompt and version management, regression testing, observability, and reliability measurement in production systems.
• Designing and operating GenAI orchestration frameworks in production beyond vendor examples (for example LangChain systems).
• Proven experience building and operating production-grade GenAI / LLM platforms, applying patterns such as RAG, tool/function calling, agentic workflows, and validated structured outputs.
