This onsite role is based in Jersey City, NJ, with a salary range of USD 102,500 to 188,900 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree plus at least two years of practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Outcome driven accountability: Own and drive outcomes for customers and the business, including the cost of achieving them. Craft engineering solutions that address complex problems with meaningful value, delivering lean, high-quality designs and implementations while managing inference, token usage, and cloud costs.
  • Technical leadership and advocacy: Act as the technical advocate for products, ensuring code integrity, feasibility, and alignment with business and customer goals. Engage in requirement analysis, component design, development, testing, integrations, and support.
  • Engineering craftsmanship: Maintain design integrity and alignment with the architecture and tech stack, ensuring quality, proper data handling, and ongoing maintenance. Be hands-on and self-driven, continually learning new approaches, languages, and frameworks. Produce technical specifications and high-quality, scalable code that meets quality KPIs, while collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Customer centric engineering: Develop lean solutions through rapid, inexpensive experimentation to meet customer needs. Engage with customers and product teams before, during, and after delivery to ensure the right solution is delivered at the right time.
  • Incremental and iterative delivery: Favor action and evidence over extensive planning, navigating complexity with a forward-leaning approach to deliver lean, maintainable solutions.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and integration: Work with empowered, cross-functional teams including product management, experience, and delivery. Integrate diverse perspectives to balance feasibility, viability, usability, and value, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances innovation.
  • Advanced technical proficiency: Apply modern software engineering practices, including AI and Agentic SSDLC, to enable daily product deployments with full automation from discovery to production to operations, with quality checks through the SSDLC lifecycle. Model these techniques to optimize solutioning and delivery, maintaining a holistic view of the product lifecycle for continuous improvement.
  • Domain expertise: Rapidly acquire domain knowledge relevant to the business or product. Translate business needs, architectures, and UX/UI designs into technical specifications and code. Be a flexible, reliable team member focused on quality and technical debt payoff.
  • Effective communication and influence: Demonstrate strong communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly. Influence teammates and product teams with well-structured arguments and evidence-based trade-offs, creating narratives that align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Engagement and collaborative co-creation: Engage with product engineering teams at all levels, and with customers as needed. Build constructive relationships and foster a culture of co-creation and shared momentum toward product goals, aligning diverse perspectives to create feasible solutions.
