Assoc Analytics Engineer
Job Description
Entry-level Assoc Analytics Engineer with Government Employees Health Association (G.E.H.A) in Missouri (remote); salary range USD 74,683 to 94,479 per year.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data models, reporting systems, and data automation workflows that support key business decisions.
- Support staging of data from multiple sources for integration into analytic models.
- Monitor the performance of analytic solutions and escalate issues to senior engineers as needed.
- Implement quality controls and adhere to departmental standards to meet quality, organizational, and regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation for models, user guides, policies, and procedures; assist with training on newly developed models.
- Uphold a data governance mindset to manage data in compliance with HIPAA, internal guidelines, and corporate policies; apply masking and encryption techniques where appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent; additional relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- PL300 certification or equivalent
- 2+ years in BI, data science, analytics, data, or related space
- 2+ years of experience with relational databases (SQL Server, DB2, Snowflake) and data processes
- Proficiency in building tabular and multi dimensional models
- 2+ years using Power BI or equivalent tools (Tableau, Cognos, MicroStrategy)
- Strong SQL querying skills
- Working knowledge of scripting languages (Python, R, Java, PowerShell, etc.)
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- Knowledge of the Insurance or Healthcare industry or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
