Job Description

Onsite at Disney's Lake Buena Vista campus, the Associate Data Analyst role sits at the crossroads of data science and daily operations, translating complex computer vision outputs into tangible improvements across Disney's global platform. You will support analysis, reporting, and data-driven decisions, helping identify trends, review detection outputs, and convert metrics into actionable insights that enhance experiences for Guests and Cast Members. This position collaborates with cross-functional teams to move the organization from reactive detection to proactive optimization.

Compensation and Location

Salary: USD 62,200 - 87,500 per year

Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL onsite

Responsibilities

  • Assist with data extraction and organization from computer vision systems, enabling the team to detect patterns in detection behavior and highlight emerging trends for assessment
  • Perform formal reviews of detection results, record false positives and false negatives, and assemble findings into reports that guide tuning efforts by engineers
  • Regularly monitor data pipelines for health, surface anomalies or data gaps, and escalate issues to senior colleagues for resolution
  • Provide defined support for containerized Linux applications, execute maintenance per documented procedures, and escalate technical issues to software engineers as required
  • Translate analytical results into clear, structured summaries suitable for leadership review and decision-making
  • Track recurring data patterns over time and document early-warning indicators to shift operations from reactive to proactive
  • Maintain dashboards and briefing materials with current data; flag anomalies to senior staff prior to leadership review
  • Join cross-functional sessions with operations, data science, and engineering teams, capture clear notes, and drive follow-ups to keep initiatives progressing
  • Maintain precise records, trackers, and status updates to support project management as the program scales to new sites
  • Document observed trends or anomalies with relevant data and support senior analysts through root-cause investigations
  • After updates or changes, perform before-and-after comparisons using defined metrics to assess whether outcomes improved
  • Ensure data integrity and handle guest and operational information with discretion and accuracy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Data Analytics, Business Analysis, Information Technology, or related field
  • 1+ years of experience in data analysis, project analysis, or a technical analytical role
  • Working knowledge of data generated by computer vision or machine learning models, including familiarity with evaluating detection outputs
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and containers (Docker); exposure to Kubernetes (K8s) is a plus
  • Ability to identify patterns or trends in data and develop deeper analytical skills over time
  • Familiarity with data tools for visualization and analysis (Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Python or R); willingness to learn team-specific tools
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, complex formulas) with strong SQL for large datasets
  • Ability to independently analyze data and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Proven ability to create clear, visually compelling presentations and tailor messaging for global audiences
  • Experience presenting complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration across technical and non-technical teammates
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills across multiple tasks or stakeholders
  • High attention to detail, especially when data informs critical operational decisions
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to domestic and international partner locations (APAC and EMEA) to support initiatives
