Job Description
This Big Data Engineer II role at Amazon Web Services, Inc. is based onsite in Dallas, TX. The engineer will architect Big Data solutions for AWS revenue data products, building scalable data pipelines and AI driven automation while mentoring colleagues and translating business requirements into technical solutions. The position offers a salary range of USD 132,100 - 178,800 per year.
Responsibilities
- Advance the Revenue technology stack to support AWS growth while adhering to security policies, architectural standards, and operational best practices
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines that transform diverse upstream raw data into actionable insights for quota management, forecasting, and compensation decisions
- Develop frameworks, tools, and AI-enabled solutions that automate manual tasks, reduce operational overhead, and accelerate time-to-insight for Revenue customers
- Create and maintain dimensional data models and data structures that enable self-service analytics and adapt to evolving reporting needs across Finance, Sales Operations, and Analytics teams
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers to deliver cross-functional solutions, foster technical growth, and uphold engineering excellence standards
- Architect and optimize Revenue data infrastructure, ensuring security, cost efficiency, and scalability while processing billions of daily transactions from 20+ data sources
- Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and customers to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Requirements
- Over three years of data engineering experience
- More than three years building and operating large-scale BI data structures using ETL/ELT processes
- More than three years developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using SQL
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields, or at least three years of professional software development experience
- Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language such as JavaScript, Python, or C#
