Role overview

Role focuses on migrating legacy data ecosystems toward AWS cloud native architectures, blending AI driven engineering and DevOps to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in data and software development, defining and implementing modern, flexible architectures that bridge legacy systems and next generation cloud platforms.
• Leverage cloud computing, big data technologies, and DevOps practices within an AWS environment to enable scalable, secure, and intelligent data solutions.
• Transform traditional data ecosystems, including COBOL and JCL pipelines, into modern cloud native architectures while incorporating AI driven practices such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and ongoing skills evolution.
• Manage legacy-to-cloud transformation initiatives with a focus on scalability, automation, and intelligent data processing.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience with modern programming languages; Python and SQL required
• Experience with client-server applications, web-based applications, software integration, and database/data modeling design
• Proven ability to master new technologies
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical capabilities with a creative and innovative approach to solutions
• Ability to ensure that solutions are secure, efficient, scalable, and supportable
• Ability to communicate in business terms and build a strong relationship with stakeholders
